For Paloma and Nephtalie, what started as internships at Bright Horizons became the foundation for careers they continue to build today as teachers at Massachusetts General Hospital Back-Up Center.

While studying Psychology and English, Paloma knew she wanted to work in education and found Bright Horizons to be the right fit.

Nephtalie, a Public Health student with years of experience working with children, saw the internship as a natural next step.

Through hands-on experience in classrooms, both gained confidence, built relationships with children and families, and developed the skills needed to transition into teaching roles.

"I learned everything about the Bright Horizons policies and classroom routines," said Paloma. "I became more prepared once I got my teacher certification and had to manage a classroom by myself."

As their careers grew, so did their opportunities. Paloma recently earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Education through Bright Horizons education support programs. Nephtalie credits the support of her leaders with helping her grow both personally and professionally.

Today, both educators continue to make an impact every day. Paloma loves celebrating children's milestones, while Nephtalie's experience in the infant program inspired her long-term goal of becoming a certified doula and supporting families during the postpartum journey.

When asked what they'd tell someone considering a Bright Horizons internship, their advice was simple:

"Go for it."

Whether you're exploring a future in early education or looking for a place to begin your career journey, a Bright Horizons internship could be the first step toward a meaningful future.
