Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions are an addendum to the Bright Horizons Refer a Friend Scheme Rules 2026. All standard Refer a Friend Scheme eligibility requirements, exclusions and payment provisions continue to apply unless otherwise stated below.
Campaign Period
  • The campaign applies to referrals where the candidate submits an application via the Bright Horizons careers site between 1 September 2026 and 30 November 2026.
  • Applications received outside of this period will not be eligible for entry into the prize draw and will instead fall under the standard Refer a Friend Scheme Rules.
  • The date of application, not the employee start date, will determine eligibility for this campaign.

Entitlement and Eligibility
To qualify for entry into the prize draw:
  • The referred candidate must apply through the Bright Horizons careers website.
  • The referred candidate must select "Referral: Employee" and provide the name of the referring employee during the application process.
  • Referrals identified after the interview process has commenced will not be eligible.
  • The referring employee must remain employed by Bright Horizons and not be working notice at the date of the prize draw.
  • The referring employee must not have been involved in the recruitment or selection process for the referred candidate, including interviewing, assessment activities, note-taking or hiring decisions.
  • Agency worker conversions and internal transfers are not eligible under this campaign.
  • All standard Refer a Friend eligibility criteria continue to apply.

Referral Bonus
  • Eligible referrals will continue to receive standard referral payment applicable to the role under the Refer a Friend Scheme Rules 2026.
  • Referral bonus payments remain subject to the standard eligibility requirements and payment timelines.

Prize Draw Entries
  • For the purposes of this campaign, a successful referral is a referred candidate who applies during the campaign period and subsequently commences employment with Bright Horizons.
  • For every successful referral that results in a candidate commencing employment with Bright Horizons, the referring employee will receive one prize draw entry.
  • There is no limit to the number of entries an employee may receive.
  • The more successful referrals an employee makes, the more entries they will receive into the draw.
  • The referred colleague must have commenced employment with Bright Horizons before the entry is included in the draw.

Prize Draw Mechanism
  • One prize winner will be drawn for every five successful referrals achieved during the campaign period. For the avoidance of doubt, if fewer than five successful referrals are achieved, no prize draw will take place.
  • For example:
    • 5 successful referrals = 1 prize winner
    • 10 successful referrals = 2 prize winners
    • 15 successful referrals = 3 prize winners
    • 20 successful referrals = 4 prize winners
  • Bright Horizons reserves the right to adjust the number of prizes if exceptional circumstances arise.

The Prize
  • Each prize winner will receive a 3-night European city break for two people, including return flights and accommodation, up to a maximum value of £1,500 inclusive of all booking costs.
  • The prize must be booked and completed by 31 December 2027.
  • The destination will be selected from options approved by Bright Horizons and may include locations such as Rome, Paris or Barcelona.
  • Any costs exceeding the maximum prize value will be the responsibility of the winner.
  • The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative will be offered.
  • Bright Horizons reserves the right to substitute the prize with an alternative prize of equivalent value if circumstances require.
The prize:
  • Must be booked through Bright Horizons' nominated travel provider.
  • Will be subject to availability and airline/hotel booking conditions.

Additional Prize Conditions
  • The prize must be booked and taken by 31 December 2027. Any portion of the prize not used by this date will be forfeited and no cash alternative or extension will be offered.
  • Winners are responsible for ensuring they hold a valid passport and meet any travel requirements applicable to their chosen destination.
  • Any annual leave required to take the trip must be requested and approved in accordance with current Bright Horizons' Annual Leave process and will be deducted from the winner's normal annual leave entitlement.
  • Winning the prize does not guarantee annual leave approval, and colleagues are encouraged to discuss preferred travel dates with their manager before making any travel arrangements.
  • Any costs incurred outside of the prize package, including but not limited to travel insurance, airport transfers, meals, spending money, excursions, passport renewals and personal expenses, will be the responsibility of the winner.
  • Travel dates are subject to availability and may be restricted during peak periods, public holidays and school holiday periods.
  • The winner and guest are responsible for ensuring they have valid travel documentation, including passports and any visas required.
  • The guest travelling with the winner must be aged 18 or over unless otherwise agreed by Bright Horizons.

Winner Selection
  • Winners will be drawn and announced by 31 March 2027.
  • The draw will be conducted randomly from all eligible entries.
  • Winners will be contacted directly by the Talent Acquisition Team.
  • Winners must remain employed by Bright Horizons and not be working notice both on the date of the draw and on the date of travel.
  • If a winner leaves Bright Horizons or commences their notice period before the draw takes place, their entry will be removed and another winner may be selected.
  • If a winner declines the prize, cannot be contacted within 14 days, or becomes ineligible before the prize is booked, Bright Horizons reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

Scheme Governance
  • Bright Horizons reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw this campaign at any time.
  • The Talent Acquisition Team will administer the campaign and determine eligibility.
  • Any attempt to manipulate, falsify or otherwise misuse the campaign may result in disqualification and may be treated as misconduct under the Disciplinary Policy and Procedure.
  • All decisions regarding eligibility, prize allocation and disputes are final.
  • Bright Horizons reserves the right to interpret these Terms and Conditions and determine eligibility in exceptional circumstances. All decisions are final.
